Troubleshooting - Cloudshort

Setup says I am not logged in to Cloudflare

Run npx wrangler login, allow access in the browser window, then run pnpm run project:setup again.

Setup says `wrangler.toml` has no `migrations_dir`

The file was made by an older version. Rename apps/redirector/wrangler.toml to wrangler.toml.old (and the dashboard one too), then run the setup again. It writes new files with the same IDs.

Deploy says a `wrangler.toml` is missing

Run pnpm run project:setup first. It writes both files.

The dashboard is missing its password or session secret. Run pnpm run project:setup (it sets both), then pnpm deploy:dashboard.

Five wrong passwords came from your IP address. Wait up to 15 minutes, then try again. If you forgot the password, set a new one as shown in Configuration.

The dashboard says "Internal server error"

The most common cause is that the database tables were not created. Run:

npx wrangler d1 migrations apply cloudshort-db --remote --config apps/redirector/wrangler.toml

A new or edited link does not work yet

Links are copied to Cloudflare KV, which can take up to 60 seconds to reach every location. Wait a minute and try again.

Clicks stopped counting, or the dashboard shows errors, on the free plan

On the Workers Free plan, D1 stops answering for the rest of the day (until midnight UTC) once your account reaches its daily row limits. Each click writes a few rows. Short links keep redirecting, because redirects read from KV, but new clicks are not saved and the dashboard cannot load until the limit resets. Cloudflare also sends an email when this happens. See D1 pricing for the limits, or move to Workers Paid.

The copy button gives the wrong domain

Set Short Link Domain in Settings to your short domain, for example https://s.example.com.

My custom domain does not open

The domain must be added to your Cloudflare account first.
The short domain belongs on the cloudshort-redirector Worker, and the admin domain on the cloudshort-dashboard Pages project, not the other way around.
New domains and certificates can take a few minutes.

The dashboard logs me out

Sessions last 24 hours. Changing JWT_SECRET also logs everyone out.
